Resolution 12 -2445 — Agreement with the Florida Department of Transportation for Decorative Mast Arm Signalization Improvements for the U.S. Highway 17 -92 and State Road 436 Interchange Project and Related Budget Amendment #13 -019 "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR DECORATIVE MAST ARM TRAFFIC SIGNALIZATION IMPROVEMENTS RELATED TO THE US HIGHWAY 17 -92 AND STATE ROAD 436 INTERCHANGE PROJECT; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." Introduction: Resolution 12 -2445 approves the agreement submitted by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) for upgrades to decorative mast arm signalization at two intersections associated with the U.S. Highway 17 -92 and SR 436 Interchange Project, in an amount not to exceed $115,000.00 without prior authorization, and authorizes the Mayor to execute said document on behalf of the City. Approval of related Budget Amendment #13 -019 is also requested. Budget Impact: The funds that are to be sent to FDOT will be held in an escrow account from which the expenditures will be paid once the project undergoes construction. The Locally Funded Agreement is for an amount not to exceed $115,000 without prior written authorization. The funds associated with this item must be disbursed to FDOT within 14 days of the execution of the agreement in full payment for the estimated cost of the project. Budget Amendment #13 -019 appropriates funds for the expenditure in account 001 -0720- 541.46-00. Funding is drawn from fund balance for the General Fund. BA #13 -019 Explanation of Request: This item seeks City Commission approval to provide funding for costs associated with mast arm signalization improvements related to the Highway 17 -92 and SR 436 Flyover Project. This budget amendment will provide sufficient funding necessary for the City to execute an agreement for mast arm signalization improvements with the Florida Department of Transportation not to exceed $115,000.
