CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of December 10, 2012 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 17 of 19 <br />Gave a brief update on efforts to encourage development of the City's properties on 17 -92, <br />stating that through working with the City's consultant, ACi, staff had identified two <br />developers whose offers most closely matched the guiding principles the Commission had <br />established for development ofthe property. He advised those two developers were Casto for <br />the commercial portion of the development and Integra Land Company for the residential <br />portion. He stated he would like to schedule a workshop for the developers to share their <br />proposals, and then if the Commissioner desired, he would at that time ask for authorization to <br />move ahead with seeking a development agreement. <br />CONSENSUS: The Commission agreed by consensus to direct the City Manager to schedule <br />a workshop for presentation of proposals by Integra and Casto for <br />development of the City's properties on Lake Concord and along 17 -92. <br />Advised that the Florida Supreme Court was taking up the red light camera issue, and as it <br />was an important Home Rule issue her firm had contacted the Florida League of Cities about <br />filing an amicus brief in that case. She added that the League had approved $5,000 on behalf <br />of Casselberry and $5,000 on behalf of Palm Coast to allow her firm to file an amicus brief in <br />the case. <br />Reminded everyone that this would be the only regular meeting for the month of December, <br />and the next regular meeting was scheduled for January 14, 2013. <br />Commissioner Anthony Aramendia — Seat No. 1: <br />Reported he had participated in several events so far this month, including the Farmer's <br />Market, the Santa Run and the re- opening of the Recreation Center. <br />Advised that the tree project in Summerset was going well, and it appeared that residents were <br />taking extra steps to care for the newly planted trees. <br />Reminded everyone of the Tree Lighting and Food Truck events on December 14, 2012 <br />Mayor Glancy recognized Chief Harkins and his staff for their efforts in bringing back the Santa Run this year. <br />Commissioner Jon Miller — Seat No. 2: <br />Also commended Chief Harkins and staff for bringing back the Santa Run, stating it meant a <br />
