CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of January 28, 2013 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 17 of 18 <br />Commissioner Anthony Aramendia — Seat No. 1: <br />Thanked Richard Henderson for his years of service to the Code Enforcement Board. <br />Reported that 150 volunteers had participated in the air potato raid, collecting over 3600 pounds, <br />which was more than seven other organizations combined. <br />Commented on the positive article by Beth Kassab that had appeared in the Orlando Sentinel and <br />thanked staff for their work in organizing the City's events. <br />Commissioner Jon Miller - Seat No. 2: <br />® Congratulated Commissioner Aramendia on the success of the air potato raid. <br />® Also commented on the Beth Kassab article, stating it was a great validation for the things that the <br />City is doing. <br />® Expressed pleasure at the 92% approval rating for the Police Department shown in the survey results, <br />stating it was evidence to substantiate what a great job they are doing. <br />® Expressed appreciation for efforts put in by the Casselberry Housing Task Force. <br />Commissioner Colleen Hufford — Seat No. 4: <br />® Congratulated the Police Department and the Housing Task Force. <br />® Shared that she had received kudos from a resident who had attended senior night at the Recreation <br />Center, and commended Betty Teagle for her organization of the event. <br />® Reported she would be meeting with Karen Castor-Dentel about advocacy, pensions and mental health <br />issues. <br />® Reported on her trip to Tallahassee to speak on behalf of the Tri -County League of Cities. She <br />advised that time had not allowed for her to speak, but she and the group have been asked to come <br />back to speak at the next session in February. <br />® Stated that yesterday's Farmers' Market was lively and she believes it gaining momentum. <br />Vice Mayor Sandra Solomon — Seat No. 3: <br />® Added that she agreed the Farmers' Market was gaining momentum and would continue to grow. <br />® Advised there had been an article in the Orlando Sentinel which did not mention Casselberry, so she <br />had emailed Mr. Tracy who wrote the article and he had advised his next article would be about the <br />Casselberry bike trails. <br />Mayor Charlene Glancy — Seat No. 5: <br />0 Thanked the Commissioners for their reports, adding that she agreed the Farmers' Market was <br />
