Resolution 13 -2447 — 2013 -2017 Voluntary Cooperation Agreement for the <br />City /County /State Traffic Enforcement Unit <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, APPROVING AND <br />AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF THE 2013 -2017 VOLUNTARY COOPERATION <br />AGREEMENT FOR THE CITY /COUNTY /STATE TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT UNIT BETWEEN <br />THE CITIES OF CASSELBERRY, ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, LAKE MARY, LONGWOOD, <br />MAITLAND, OVIEDO, SANFORD, WINTER SPRINGS, THE SANFORD AIRPORT AUTHORITY, <br />THE SHERIFF OF SEMINOLE COUNTY, FLORIDA, THE FLORIDA HIGHWAY PATROL, THE <br />FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION — MOTOR CARRIER COMPLIANCE, <br />SEMINOLE COUNTY, FLORIDA — TRAFFIC ENGINEERING AND THE CSX RAILROAD <br />POLICE — ORLANDO OFFICE OF SPECIAL AGENTS; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, <br />SEVERABILITY AND EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />Introduction: Resolution 13 -2447 approves renewal of the existing City /County /State Traffic Enforcement <br />Unit Voluntary Cooperation Agreement, which provides for countywide traffic enforcement and control <br />services between the cities of Altamonte Springs, Casselberry, Lake Mary, Longwood, Maitland, Oviedo, <br />Sanford, Winter Springs and the Seminole County Sheriff's Office, Florida Highway Patrol, Florida <br />Department of Transportation— Motor Carrier Compliance, Seminole County, Florida— Traffic Engineering, <br />and the CSX Railroad Police — Orlando Office of Special Agents for an additional four years, which will <br />remain in effect until January 1, 2017, and authorizes the Mayor to execute said agreement on behalf of the <br />City. <br />Budget Impact: There is no impact to the City Budget. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Police Chief recommended approval of Resolution 13 -2447. <br />C. Resolution 13 -2448 — 2013 -2017 Voluntary Cooperation Agreement for the <br />Cit / my Canine (K -9) Unit <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLROIDA APPROVING AND <br />AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF THE 2013 -2017 VOLUNTARY COOPERATION <br />AGREEMENT FOR A CITY /COUNTY CANINE (K -9) UNIT BETWEEN THE CITIES OF <br />CASSELBERRY, ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, LAKE MARY, LONGWOOD, MAITLAND, OVIEDO, <br />SANFORD, WINTER SPRINGS, AND THE SEMINOLE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE TO <br />PROVIDE FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT CANINE SERVICES; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, <br />SEVERABILITY AND EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />Introduction: Resolution 13 -2448 approves renewal of the existing City /County Canine (K -9) Voluntary <br />Cooperation Agreement for canine services between the cities of Altamonte Springs, Casselberry, lake Mary, <br />Longwood, Maitland, Oviedo, Sanford, Winter Springs and the Seminole County Sheriffs Office for an <br />additional four years, which will remain in effect until January 1, 2017, and authorizes the Mayor to execute <br />said agreement on behalf of the City. <br />Budget Impact: There is no impact to the City Budget. <br />
