CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of June 11, 2012 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 16 of 18 <br />No report. <br />Commissioner Anthony Aramendia — Seat No. 1: <br />• Reported he had attended the Concord Cemetery Re- dedication Ceremony, noting that several <br />organizations such as the Daughters of the Confederacy and the Sons of the Civil War had come in <br />traditional attire. Extended thanks to all the City staff and Home Depot staff who worked on the <br />project. <br />• Stated that the Rock N Roll Classic Car Concert was a success. He added that Rachel Veitch was <br />there with her 1964 Mercury Comet Caliente, and she had a great time. He advised that this was the <br />very last show she attended with the car, and it is now in the Ford Museum with over 579,000 miles. <br />He stated he would be meeting with her next week to give her some pictures and a plaque. <br />• He stated the Get Outdoors Casselberly event was held last Saturday. He noted there the turnout was <br />a little more than last year and he's hoping it will continue to grow. <br />• Advised that RunYak will be on either August 0' or 11"' and the course is being changed to make it <br />into a 5K. <br />• Noted that the Food Truck event is being changed to the back parking lot and he thinks that might <br />work well for it. <br />• Stated he has been walking Carriage Hill and has noticed sizeable improvements which have been <br />made at 22 of the 396 homes - things such as roofs, driveways, windows and sprinkler systems - and <br />he believes this is an indication of people taking pride in their community. <br />• Extended congratulations to Pamela Lynch for her work on getting the Black's Automotive contract, <br />and also on the EPA grant. <br />• Reported that the Property Appraiser had advised that the City's property values had only declined <br />2.5% this year, which was less than expected. <br />Commissioner Jon Miller — Seat No. 2: <br />• Thanked the owners of the Casselberly Golf Course for attending the meeting and taking a proactive <br />approach in being willing to work with the City as a good community partner. <br />• Expressed thanks to Chief McNeil for his proactive approach in protecting both the public and the <br />City's interests, as well. <br />• Commended the CRA for their forward thinking decision, and thanked Pamela Lynch and Don Martin <br />for their help in teeing it up. <br />• Thanked Ms. Reischmann for her hard work on bringing the two cases to a successful resolution. <br />
