Community Redevelopment Agency <br />March 22, 2012 <br />Page 2 of 6 <br />is completing its audit and the auditors will be presenting the audit results to the Board at the next scheduled CRA <br />meeting. <br />Fifth Item of Business: Shoot Straight -- Request for Release of Grant Funds <br />Ms. Pamela Lynch, Economic Development Coordinator, reviewed staffs memo dated March 22, 2012 (a <br />copy is on file in the Community Development Department). Ms. Lynch said that Shoot Straight has completed the <br />renovations and are requesting a release of the grant funds. She said that Shoot Straight has one outstanding item <br />regarding additional soundproofing which needs to be resolved before the funds are released. Ms. Lynch requested <br />that the CRA Board release the funds upon the applicant addressing the soundproofing issue and the Building <br />Official's approval of the completed work. A general discussion ensued regarding the soundproofing of the building. <br />Mr. Stark arrived at the meeting at 9:46 a.m. <br />Mr. Daigle made a motion to approve the release of funds based upon staffs recommendation that the <br />soundproofing is approved by the Building Inspector. Mr. McGregor seconded the motion. The motion passed <br />unanimously by voice vote. <br />Sixth Item of business: Economic Development Incentive Program ®Status Update <br />Mr. Donald Martin, Community Development Director, reviewed staffs memo dated March 22, 2012 (a copy <br />is attached and made a part of the minutes). A brief discussion ensued regarding providing an economic <br />development incentive to a new tenant at the Bennett Auto Supply site. <br />Seventh Item of Business: brownfields Program Overview <br />Ms, Pamela Lynch, Economic Development Coordinator, reviewed staffs memo dated March 22, 2012 (a <br />copy is on file in the Community Development Department). Ms. Lynch explained that this is a three year <br />assessment grant that allows the City to conduct environmental assessments on properties as well as Phase I and <br />Phase II assessments on sites. Ms, Lynch stated that the following sites within the Community Redevelopment <br />District (CRD) have been assessed; 95 Concord Drive, the Target outparcels site, 2840 South US Highway 17/92, <br />the Lake Concord property, the City Center site and the Police Station property. Ms. Lynch stated that three different <br />Phase II assessments have been completed on the Police Department site. She said the results show that there are <br />contaminants in the ground water, She said there is an estimate of $600,000 to clean the site. Ms, Lynch said the <br />
