CASSZ•rLBi'JRRY CITY CONID~fISSION <br />Minutes of February 27, 2012 -Regular Meeting <br />Page 6 of 12 <br />Budget Impact: The impact to the budget is an increase to the Fire Department's Promotional Activities <br />account no.001-0310-522.48-00 in the amount of $200 and an increase to the Contributions/Donations/Private <br />Sector accou7rtno. 001-0000-366.91-00 in the amount of $200. <br />BA # 12-027: <br />Explanation of Request: This item seeks to recognize revenue received as a result of a donation from Rotary <br />Club of Casselbeny Inc, in the amount of $200 and to appropriate funds to help finance and facilitate the 2011 <br />Santa Run. <br />Account Number Account Description Amount <br />INCREASE: <br />001-0000-366.91-00 Contributions/Donations/Private Sources $200 <br />001-0310-522.48-00 Promotional Activities $200 <br />Recommendation: The Interim City Manager and the Fire Chief recommended approval of Budget <br />Amendment # 12-027. <br />J. "Our Town 2012" Grant Application <br />Introduction: Consideration to approve the submission of an "Our Town 2012" grant application in the <br />amount of $50,000 with a City match of $50,000, to support the proposed Fire House Scuipttire Studio and <br />Creative Casselberly Arts Initiative is requested. <br />Budget Impact: The grant application requires anon-federal match of at least 1 to 1. However, these <br />matching funds maybe all cash or a combination of cash and in-kind contributions. Matching funds that are <br />proposed are not required to be committed at the time ofthe application deadline. The federal funding request <br />amount is $50,000 with a City match of $50,000. The City hatch is comprised o£ <br />® FY 2012 Recreation Division Operating Budget - $10,000 <br />® Donations - $10,000 <br />® Fees for Artists and Musician Performances at Various Cultural Art Activities/Events - $10,000 <br />® Seminole Cultural Al't Coutlcil Grant - $2,000 <br />® Marketing - $1,500 <br />® In-Kind Materials and Labor - $16,000 <br />Recommendation: The Interim City Manager and the Public Works Director recommended approval of <br />submission of a grant application to the National Endowment of the Arts for the "Our Town 2012" grant. <br />IVIOTI®hl: Commissioner Solomon moved approve the Consent Agenda, as amended, <br />removing item c, Resolution 12-1349 for separate consideration. Motion was <br />seconded by Commissioner Aramendia. Motion carried unanimously by voice <br />vote 5 - 0. <br />
