Expressed <br />appreciation for the reactivation ofthe Santa Run event and stated he hoped the hadition continues in <br />the fut<ue. <br />® Expressed condolences to the family of Ms. Valerie Barber-Simpson. <br />® Welcomed Commissioner Aramendia to the City Commission. <br />® Extended best wishes to everyone for the holidays. <br />Mayor Charlene Glancy -Seat No. 5: <br />® Welcomed Commissioner Aramendia to the City Commission. <br />® Expressed appreciation for farmer Commissioner Doerner's service to the City. <br />® Commended staff for the success of recently held events including the Annual Tree Lighting <br />Ceremony, the Student Police Academy Graduation Ceremony, and the Santa Run. <br />® Noted the Citizens Academy has been scheduled to commence in February. <br />® Inquired as to the status of the demolition of the Wachovia Bank building and preservation of the the <br />mural from inside the building. The City Manager reported the the mural was successfully removed <br />from the building and is stored for future presentation.
