Note $ 37,119 <br />Series 2008 <br />INCREASE: <br />001-0000-389.90-00 OtherNon-Operating Sources $2,314,119 <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Finance Director recommended approval of Resolution 11- <br />2290 and related Budget Amendment #11-045. <br />Audience Input: No one came forward to addles Resolution 11-2290. <br />MOTION: Commissioner Hufford moved to approve Resolution 11-2290 and related <br />Budget Amendment #11-049, as presented. Motion was seconded by <br />Commissioner Solomon. <br />DISCUSSION: Clarification of the amount of interest savings that will be realized by this action was <br />given by the Finance Director. Vice Mayor Miller and Mayor Glancy commended <br />the pm•chase of the land due to elimination of an adult entertainment use continuing <br />at that location. <br />Motion carried by voice vote 4 - 1 (Commissioner Doerner dissenting). <br />Mayor Glancy recognized JoI•dan Franks, member of Boy Scout Troop # 196, who was in attendance. Jordan <br />stated he was working on his citizenship in the community merit badge as well as his first class rank. <br />1a 'T E ITE <br />No items were scheduled on this agenda. <br />13. Future Agenda Items <br />Commissioner Solomon requested another more comprehensive presentation on code enforcement be given to <br />the City Commission that included more specific staff information including input fi•om the code enforcement <br />staff as to possible codes that need to be made stronger in order to make enforcement easier. Discussion <br />ensued regarding minimum maintenance standards and perceived code violations versus achial code violations. <br />The issue of establishing clear criteria for enforcement was discussed, especially relating to outside storage. <br />Emphasis was given to the mtisance abatement involvement of the City which is based on health, safety and <br />welfare. The City Manager stated staff was making good strides in the area of code enfar•cement and currently <br />working on several code modifications for consideration by the City Commission. <br />
