The Board also discussed contributors to higher TSI which include old in-ground septic tank seepage from lakefront property, grass carp, golf course pollutants, high rainfall levels, etc. More research will be conducted on this topic. Dr. Brock mentioned to the Board that the current contract with ERD for water quality sampling is outdated and wanted suggestions as to what the City should do on a going forward basis. The choices are to remain status quo (ERD will continue to provide water quality sampling services at a rate of nearly $23K/year); contract with Seminole County (Seminole County could take over these responsibilities at a rate of $17K/year; however, they will only provide raw data with little calculations and no summary of findings), or have the new Stormwater Consultant (to be selected in February 2010) to conduct the research. Event Schedule Updates: Dr. Brock advised the Board that the previously anticipated scheduling of the City's landscaping workshop conducted by Florida Yards & Neighborhoods had to be rescheduled to Wednesday, April 21, 2010 from Earth Day (April 22"d) due to a scheduling conflict. Brochures of other upcoming events hosted by Florida Yards & Neighborhoods were distributed to the Board. Copies of these brochures can be found on the City's website. 6. Audience Participation: Mr. John Casselberry was in attendance at this meeting. Mr. Casselberry inquired about the permit procedures associated with the Lake Jesup clean-up project, among other minor issues/concerns. During this part of the agenda, Dr. Brock mentioned that the City Clerk has distributed applications to a(( board members whose terms were expiring. To date, only Mrs. Anne Mi((er had returned her application. Applications are still needed from Mr. Dana Callan, Mr. lames Withrow, and Mr. Scott Scherr. The due date to return the applications is January 18, 2010. Those who do not turn in their applications on time will be considered to have expiring terms and wi((no longer be members of the LMAB.
