CEO Rivera stated the issues were called in by an <br />anonymous person on 07/07/2008, on 07/09/2008 CEO Rivera inspected the property. At time of inspection CEO <br />Rivera observed numerous broken windows throughout the house in addition he observed the property was <br />overgrown. Afollow-up inspection on 07/22/2008 found there was no compliance. Notice of Code Violation sent to <br />the property owner to an address obtained thru the property appraiser's office. On 07/22/2008 the property was <br />inspected and found there was no compliance, the case was referred to Brenda Jones to be scheduled for hearing at <br />the Code Enforcement Board with a compliance date of 08/13/2008. As of 08/14/2008 the window situation still <br />has not been addressed. CEO Rivera continued. CEO Rivera stated the overgrowth situation was corrected by the <br />City contractor and is now in compliance but the windows are as they remained originally. <br />Discussion. <br />CEO Rivera stated he had the occasion to visit the location, there was crew working, and CEO Rivera spoke to a <br />gentleman named Suarez who was taking care of some issues. Mr. Suarez indicated he had been contracted by the <br />owner to do some repairs since there had been an eviction the month prior. Mr. Suarez provided a phone number to <br />the individual he claimed was the owner, a Nadir Mir. Mr. Mir is not the same individual that appears on the <br />Property Appraiser's office. CEO Rivera stated he had several conversations with Mr. Mir at a phone number <br />provided by Mr. Suarez, Mr. Mir indicated he would hake care of the problem, and there is still no compliance. <br />Robert C. Flint asked if the property was posted on 07/22/2008. <br />CEO Rivera stated it had. <br />Charlene Clancy asked if CEO Rivera had ever made contact with the actual owner. <br />CEO Rivera stated no he has not spoken to Fahim Mohammed. <br />Mr. Glancy asked if the Certified mail had been received. <br />CEO Rivera stated the mailing went unclaimed. <br />Discussion. <br />CEO Rivera stated the City was requesting a fine of $100.00 per day for each violation. <br />Alvera Armour, Vice-Chairperson asked if there was representative present for Mr. Mohammed. There was no one <br />present. <br />Ketron Brown, Code Enforcement Supervisor stated the City was asking for $100.00 per day, reason being this is <br />the property that ended up in the media. There was substantial risk for rodents, vermin, and snakes. CES Brown <br />continued. <br />
