Inc. <br />Rezoning property from OR (Office Residential) to CG (Commercial General). <br />Mr. Eric Raasch, Planner I, reviewed the information provided in his memorandum dated February 4, 2011, <br />to the City of Casselberry Planning and Zoning Commission (a copy is on file in the Community Development <br />Department). Mr. Raasch presented a PowerPoint Presentation (a copy is attached and made a part of the minutes). <br />Mr. Raasch stated the Planning Division Staff recommends approval of the rezoning request for the property located <br />at 1060 Seminole Boulevard, from "OR" to "CG" based on the staff report dated February 4, 2010 and the following <br />findings regarding the rezoning; <br />1. It is consistent with the City's Comprehensive Plan. <br />2. It is consistent with the Commercial (COMM) Future Land Use Map designation. <br />3. It is compatible with the surrounding mix of zonings and land uses. <br />4. It will improve the economic development of the area and will increase property values. <br />Mr. Raasch stated that this item is a recommendation to the City Commission and the staff report would be <br />attached as Exhibit A in the City Commission packet. <br />Mr. Aramendia asked the applicant to come forward. The applicant had nothing to add to staffs <br />presentation. <br />Mr. Aramendia asked if there was anyone in the audience who wished to speak in favor of, or in opposition <br />to, the request. No one came forward. <br />Mr. Aramendia asked for a motion to address ZB 11-01. Mr. Bakalla recommended a favorable <br />recommendation from the Planning and Zoning Commission to the City Commission for ZB 11-01 based on the staff <br />report dated February 4, 2011 for the zoning change to CG for the property located at 1060 Seminole Boulevard as <br />presented. Mr. Lutz seconded the motion. <br />The Board was polled. <br />Edmund Bakalla Yes <br />
