CASSELBERRY PARKS & RECREATION ADVISORY BOARD Casselberry Recreation Center 200 N. Triplet Lake Dr., Casselberry, FL 32707 A regular meeting of the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board was held Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at the Casselberry Recreation Center located at 200 N. Triplet Lalce Drive. June Hen•on called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Board Members Present: Jessica Eckhart, June Herron, Michael Mason Board Members Absent: None Staff Present: Luis Cruz (Park Dev. /Facilities Manager), Alicia Kardell (PW Staff Assistant) Audience Present: John Casselberry Approval of Minutes: Ms. Hei7on made a motion to approve the October 12t~' minutes as written. Mr. Mason seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously 3-0. Audience Participation: Mr. John Casselber7y, 700 S. Lost Lake Lane, asked if the Wirz Trail Section I plans included a bridge crossing on Wilshire Dr. Mr. Cruz said this wasn't included at this time. Mr. Casselberry also asked if there would be an alternate route if someone didn't want to take the trail around Wirz Park wetlands area. Mr. Cruz said that yes, there would be another way to go. New Board Member: Ms. Jessica Eckhart was welcomed to the PRAB. She has lived in the City for 1 '/2 years and is involved in several local groups including Friends of the Park and the Woman's Club of Casselberry. New Chairperson 8~ Vice Chairperson Election: Mr. Mason made a motion to nominate Ms. Hereon as the new PRAB Chairperson. Ms. Eckhart seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously 3-0. Ms. Herron made a motion to nominate Mr. Mason as the new PRAB Vice Chairperson. Ms. Eclchait seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously 3-0. There are still two open positions on the PRAB. Mr. Cruz said he'd check with the City Clerk on the status of applications.
