<br />City Commission Meeting Rules and Procedures
<br />Proposed December 14, 2009
<br />Regular Meeting Agenda Preparation.
<br />The City Manager will assemble and prepare a draft agenda from the issues submitted,
<br />and forward the draft agenda to the Mayor prior to the end of the work day on the
<br />Tuesday immediately preceding a meeting. The Mayor will then review the agenda to
<br />ensure items previously requested publicly by the City Commission are included;-an~if
<br />2. The final agenda will then be prepared, available, and posted in accordance with State
<br />Statutes by the City Cleric. Any additions to the agenda after posting shall be presented
<br />to the City Commission for review and approval as far in advance of the meeting as

<br />items shall be primarily limited to subjects which are time-sensitive in nature which
<br />cannot be postponed to the next regular City Commission meeting.
<br />3. Clerical errors (such as misspelled words, inco~~rect account numbers, etc.) which are
<br />minor in nature and easily corrected by staff should be presented to the City Clerlc,

<br />advance of the meeting time so as to be corrected prior to the meeting. A correction
<br />memo (or pages) will be prepared and distributed to the Commission prior to the time of
<br />the meeting for their consideration.
<br />Commission Meetings.
<br />1. Regular meetings of the City Commission shall commence at 7:00 p.m. unless an
<br />alternative time has been designated by Public Notice.
<br />2. The City Commission shall vote at 9:30 p.m. whether the agenda will be modified in
<br />light of the time remaining.
<br />3. Special meetings and Workshops of the City Commission shall commence at the
<br />specific time designated by the Public Notice.
<br />4. The parliamentary procedures adopted initially via Resolution 06-1703 (or as
<br />amended and supplemented afterward) shall be utilized at all City Commission
<br />meetings.
<br />5. Decorum.
<br />a. Public meetings are held to conduct City business in the view of the Public. The
<br />public's right to be present at the public meeting does not give the public the right to
