Motion was seconded by Commissioner Solomon <br /> <br />DISCUSSION: Commissioner Doerner stated she would be voting against the ordinance because <br />there was potential for reconfiguration of the parcels in order to remain on the tax <br />ro II, and because the cost for taking over the maintenance of the retention areas of the <br />parcels now owned by the City. Commissioner Doerner also stated she preferred to <br />see other locations for park development. <br /> <br />Motion carried 4-1 (Commissioner Doerner dissenting) by voice vote. <br /> <br />10. OTHER ITEMS <br /> <br />A. Lakes Management Advisory Board Request for Joint Meeting <br /> <br />Staff Presentation: Ms. Barbara Lipscomb, City Manager, stated the Lakes Management Advisory Board <br />discussed its duties and responsibilities at their September and October board meetings. The Lakes <br />Management Board has strong concerns regarding how recent lake related issues have been handled and <br />wishes to meet with the City Commission to discuss the Board's role and to foster better communication. <br /> <br />Commission consensus was to schedule a joint meeting with the Lakes Management Advisory Board for <br />November 9, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. Dr. Kelly Brock, City Engineer, stated the Lakes Management Advisory <br />Board would decide on a list of specific discussion topics for the joint meeting at their November 4, 2009 <br />meeting. <br /> <br />13. DISCUSSION ITEMS <br /> <br />A. Municipal Advisory Committee (Metroplan) Report - Mayor Glancy <br /> <br />Mayor Glancy reported primary discussion at the last Municipal Advisory Committee meeting was on proposed <br />funding changes for area transportation project;; including the 17-92/436 Flyover Project. <br />
