CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION Minutes of October 12,2009- Regular Meeting Page 10 oft3 MOTION: Vice Mayor Hufford moved to approve Ordinance 09-1307 on first reading, as presented. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Solomon DISCUSSION: Commissioner Doerner stated she would be voting against the ordinance because there was potential for reconfiguration of the parcels in order to remain on the tax ro II, and because the cost for taking over the maintenance of the retention areas of the parcels now owned by the City. Commissioner Doerner also stated she preferred to see other locations for park development. Motion carried 4-1 (Commissioner Doerner dissenting) by voice vote. 10. Lakes Management Advisory Board Request for Joint Meeting Staff Presentation: Ms. Barbara Lipscomb, City Manager, stated the Lakes Management Advisory Board discussed its duties and responsibilities at their September and October board meetings. The Lakes Management Board has strong concerns regarding how recent lake related issues have been handled and wishes to meet with the City Commission to discuss the Board's role and to foster better communication. Commission consensus was to schedule a joint meeting with the Lakes Management Advisory Board for November 9, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. Dr. Kelly Brock, City Engineer, stated the Lakes Management Advisory Board would decide on a list of specific discussion topics for the joint meeting at their November 4, 2009 meeting. 13. DISCUSSION ITEMS A. Municipal Advisory Committee (Metroplan) Report - Mayor Glancy Mayor Glancy reported primary discussion at the last Municipal Advisory Committee meeting was on proposed funding changes for area transportation project;; including the 17-92/436 Flyover Project.
