Part of the contract with ICiniley Horn and Associates to prepare a Comprehensive Plan <br />amendment package for establislzizzg industrial land uses orl North WinterPark Drive properties, the City also <br />requested that the consultants evaluate the area for its industrial developmeritpatential, specifica[lyevaluating <br />the possibility of attracting bio-tech atzd green industries to the conununity. Urbarzornics is asub-consultant to <br />Kimley I-Ioz•n and Associates. Mr. Don Martin, Cotntnun[ty Development D[reetar, also gave a presentatiazz <br />with additional information on development opportunities and recommended strategies for the North Winter <br />Park Drive Business Park, A copy of the presentation is attached to acid made a part of these miuittes. <br />Discussiott•: The City Manager requested direction regarding development of the North Winter Park Drive <br />Business Park. The City Conunissiotz discussed the recommended actions given in the Urbanomics z•epa-•t <br />regarding Uranditlg and marketing, and development and business incentives, Comznissianer Solomon was <br />supportive of developing a master plan for the area with the property otivners and ryas supportive of the <br />recoznznended name "Casselberry Commerce Park". Commissioner Millez• and Commissioner Hufford tiver•e <br />supportive of developing a master plan for the area with the propely owners and were supportive ofthe goal of <br />a name change, but wanted some alternatives to consider other than "Casselberry Commerce Pat•k". Mayor <br />Glancy was supportive of developing a master plan far tl~e area with the properly owners and was supportive of <br />the goal of a name change, and would Like to see "Casselberry" in the name of the park to help identify the <br />development as be[ng iu the City sitzee the area actually has a Winter Spr[ngs mailing zip code.
