Mr. Martin estimated that staff would have <br />something to present to the Board regarding the project in October or November. <br />A general discussion ensued regarding any additional funding that may be needed for this project and the <br />construction time frame. <br />Fifth Item of Business: Update on City Center Project ®Next steps <br />Mr. Martin reviewed the staff memo dated September 10, 2010 that was included in the meeting packet (a <br />copy is on file in the Community Development Department). Mr. Martin said that the City Commission held a work <br />session on August 26, 2010 to consider proposals from two developers for the City Center Property. He said the City <br />Commission felt that the Robbins Development Partner's proposal was the best fit for the city and directed staff to <br />continue to work with the developer. <br />Mr. Martin stated that the city received a Letter of Intent with a purchase price of $2.75 million. Mr. Martin <br />said a meeting is scheduled next week with staff, the city attorney and representatives from Robbins Development <br />Partners to discuss the project. <br />Mr. Martin presented a PowerPoint Presentation to the Board regarding the City Center: Directions & <br />Challenges (a copy is attached and made a part of the minutes). He explained that this is a conceptual plan and is <br />subject to change. <br />Mr. Trueba excused himself from the meeting at 9:50 a.m. A general discussion ensued regarding the <br />development of the City Center property, extension to the CRA term and updating the CRA plan. <br />Sixth Item of Business: Other Business <br />There was no other business. <br />Seventh Item of Business: Director's Report <br />Mr. Martin stated that staff is moving forward with the sewer for the Grassy Lake/Lakeview Center project. <br />He said the City would also like Entenmann's to connect to sewer. A general discussion ensued regarding the status <br />of the Saturn property. <br />Eighth Item of Business: Public Comments <br />There was no public comment. <br />
