Community RedevelopmentAgency
November 12, 2010
Page 5
be somewhat significant to the City. In response to the Board's question, Mr, Newlon stated that there is no
subordination in the lease and he would clarify that with Chef Keogh.
A general discussion ensued regarding the time frame necessary to develop the site to meet Chef Keogh's
proposed opening date of August 2011 and the possible need to schedule another CRA meeting to discuss the
project to avoid any delays. Mr. Newlon suggested that the CRA could schedule a special meeting after the
November 15, 2010 City Commission Workshop to discuss the project. He said if the CRA was prepared to move
forward on the project, the Board could request a budget amendment from the City Commission which would
empower the Board to take further action if necessary.
Ms. Lipscomb said she has been working on developing a public relations plan as this unfolds. She said
she is planning to schedule meetings with the Seminole County US 17-92 Redevelopment Planning Agency, the
County Manager and possibly representatives from other Community Redevelopment Agencies in Seminole County
and if the Board had any suggestions to let her know.
Mr. Martin stated that the City Commission Workshop is scheduled for Monday, November 15, 2010 at 6:00
p.m. in the Commission Chambers.
A brief discussion ensued regarding requesting PMG Associates to provide additional information regarding
the potential impact Estado 11 would have on other businesses in the community and the scope of work completed
by PMG Associates.
Report on staff's meeting with Pamela Hale, Community United Methodist Church
Mr. Martin stated that he met with Ms, Pamela Hale to discuss the proposal the City received from Robbins
Development Partners and how the development could impact the church property. He said they discussed the
following items:
1. Creating a throughway to Piney Ridge through the church property
2. Pedestrian connections through the church property
3. Shared parking with the church and the 15 acre site
He said that Ms. Hale was not interested in creating a throughway in the church property; however, she was
open to the pedestrian connections and shared parking. He said that the church is interested in improving the
landscaping and a better look for the parking lot; however they do not have a budget for that.
