Community Redevelopment Agency <br />February 12, 2010 <br />Page 5 <br />Ninth Item of Business, Other Business <br />Ms. Lipscomb stated that most of the CRA activities have been staff driven, Ms. Lipscomb stated that the <br />CRA has five more years and it is uncertain if the CRA will be extended. He said that the CIA needs to be proactive <br />in the next few years. She encouraged the Board to start thinking about where they would like to go, what they would <br />like to do and what they would like to see brought forward. <br />'tenth Item of Business: Public Gomments <br />Mr. John Casselberry, 700 South Lost Lake lane, Casseiberry,l=loridacame forward. Mr, Casselberry said <br />it was his understanding That the bar and the service station were not inciuded in the pfat because his family did not <br />own it. He said there were certain drainage calculations that required the frontage to be buiit up to get towards the <br />pond in the back. He felt That the City included those parcels in the stormwater calculations for the redesigned pond. <br />Mr, Casselberry said he was not sure if there were any drainage rights without the normal retention. <br />Mr. Casselberry said he would prefer that the name "Casseiberry" was not modified to some acronym <br />because it is confusing enough. He suggested using a word that starts with "Cray. <br />Mr. Casselberry said that the tax adjustments for property are more automated. He said the tax <br />adjustments were done every three years, He said the County would adjust one third of the properties every year. <br />He said in researching comparables for his property, it appears that the County adjusted dawn a lot of properties. He <br />said the adjustments were in fhe house value and very little was done to adjust the land values. Mr. Casselberry felt <br />that the market is over buiit and it will take time to absorb construction.
