CASSELBERRY PARKS & RECREATION ADVISORY BOARD <br />Casselberry Recreation Center <br />200 N. Triplet Lalce Dr., Casselberry, FL 32707 <br />A regular meeting of the Parlcs & Recreation Advisory Board was held Tuesday, May 11, 2010 <br />at the Casselberry Recreation Center located at 200 N. Triplet Lake Drive. Butch Spence called <br />the meeting to order at 7:01 p.m. <br />Board Members Present: <br />Butch Spence, Phyllis Sheppard <br />Board Members Absent: <br />Michael Mason, June Herron <br />Staff Present: <br />Luis Cruz (Parlcs and Facilities Manager), Alicia Kardeil (Admin. Services Office Assistant), <br />Don Martin (Community Development Director) <br />Audience Present: <br />John Casselberry <br />Approval of Minutes: <br />Phyllis Sheppard made a motion to approve the April 13th minutes as written. Butch <br />Spence seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously 2-0. <br />Audience Participation: <br />Mr. John Casselberry, 700 S. Lost Lake Lane, commented on the presentation given by Mr. <br />Martin. He asked if most of the improvements were related to bike paths. Mr. Martin replied <br />that the improvements will focus on pedestrian paths including 8-10 feet sidewalks. <br />Mr. Casselberry also proposed that the City and/or county construct abathroom/shower area for <br />the homeless. This could be placed in an unused commercial parking lot. <br />Mr. Casselberry asked if there was a set speed limit for the bike trail Mr. Cruz replied that there <br />was not a speed limit, but the signage on the bike trail meets all requirements. <br />Wirz Trail Section I Design: <br />Wirz Trail Section I design is in the review process. Mr. Cruz passed out the 60% plans and <br />discussed them with the board members. <br />Wirz Trail Section 1 Meeting: <br />There will be a public meeting next Wednesday, 5/19, at the Recreation Center from 6:00-8:00 <br />p.m. Wirz Trail Section I will be discussed. <br />Lake Concord Park FRDAP Phase II: <br />The City will be reimbursed $200,000 for FRDAP Phase II within the next month. <br />
