CITY OF CASSELBERRY <br />PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION/ <br />LOCAL PLANNING AGENCY <br />The City of Casselberry Planning and Zoning Commission/Local Planning Agency held a public meeting on <br />Wednesday, April 28, 2010, at 6:30 P.M. in the Casselberry City Hall, Commission Chambers, 95 Triplet Lake Drive, <br />Casselberry, Florida. <br />Members present: <br />Harley Parkhurst, Chairman <br />Anthony Aramendia, Vice-Chairman <br />Stanley Weinroth <br />Nathan Van Meter, Jr. <br />Edmund Bakalla <br />Daniel Hale <br />Victor Lutz, Alternate <br />Staff members present: <br />Charles Senzee, Planner II <br />Joni Dixon, Sr. Staff Assistant <br />First Item of Business: Approval of Minutes for the public meeting held on April 14, 2010. <br />Mr. Parkhurst stated the Chair was open for a motion on the approval of minutes for the public meeting held <br />on Wednesday, April 14, 2010. Mr. Aramendia moved to accept the April 14, 2010 minutes, Mr. Van Meter <br />seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously by voice vote. <br />Second Item of Business: Disclosure of Ex Parte Communications. <br />No disclosure of Ex Parte Communications was made by the Commissioners. <br />Third Item of Business: CU 10-03: 1555 State Road 4361Knight's Pawn. Conditional use request for a pawn <br />shop. <br />Mr. Charles Senzee, Planner II, reviewed the information provided in his memorandum dated April 26, 2010, <br />to the City of Casselberry Planning and Zoning Commission (a copy is on file in the Community Development <br />Department). Mr. Senzee stated that there are two check cashing businesses in the area; however, they meet the <br />distance separation required for non-traditional uses. <br />Mr. Senzee stated that non-traditional uses such as check cashing, tattoo parlors, and pawn shops are <br />restricted as to their location and appearance as provided in ULDR Section 2-7.30.
