Exhibit 'A' <br />STANDARD CONSULTANT AGREEMENT <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this, ~$'M day of ~ by <br />and between the CITY OF CASSELBERRY ("City"), a Florida municipal corporation, <br />whose address is 95 Lake Triplet Drive, Casselberry, Florida 32707, and Brown & <br />Caldwell ("Consultant"), a California corporation, of 850 Trafalgar Court, Suite 300, <br />Maitland, Florida 32751, authorized to conduct business in the State of Florida, agree <br />as follows: <br />1. SERVICES AND PERFORMANCE: <br />A. The City does hereby retain the Consultant to furnish certain services in <br />connection with Continuing Professional Water and Sewer Utility <br />Engineering Services, expected tasks may include, but are not limited to, <br />major and minor design of lift stations and all components, potable water, <br />reclaimed water and wastewater pressure pipe networks, gravity sewer <br />collection systems, water and wastewater treatment plant optimization, <br />analysis and design of plant processes, hydraulic modeling for potable, <br />reclaimed and wastewater pipe networks, permitting and permit reporting <br />with FDEP and SJRWMD, Water and Wastewater Master Planning, <br />including projecting water and wastewater system demands and evaluating <br />current demands, evaluating current system conditions, and establishing a <br />long term prioritized Capital Improvement Plan, (the "Project Services"). <br />B. The Consultant and the City mutually agree to furnish, each to the other, <br />the respective services, information and items as described herein and in <br />authorized Supplemental Agreements. <br />C. Before performing any work under this Agreement, the parties shall enter <br />into a Supplemental Agreement covering specific Scopes of Services and <br />compensation. Reference herein to this Agreement shall be considered to <br />include any Supplemental Agreement. <br />D. In the performance of professional services, the Consultant shall use that <br />degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised by other similar professionals <br />in the field under similar conditions in similar localities. The Consultant <br />shall use due care in performing in a design capacity and shall have due <br />regard for acceptable standards of design principles. <br />E. The Consultant agrees to provide project schedule progress reports in a <br />format acceptable to the City and at intervals established by the City. The <br />City will be entitled at all times to be advised, at its request, as to the <br />status of work being done by the Consultant and of the details thereof. <br />Coordination shall be maintained by the Consultant with representatives of <br />the City, or of other agencies interested in the project on behalf of the City. <br />Either party to the Agreement may request and be granted a conference. <br />
