RESOLUTION 10-2147 <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, <br />APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A STANDARD CONSULTANT <br />AGREEMENT BETWEEN BROWN AND CALDWELL AND THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY <br />FOR PROVIDING CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL UTILITIES SERVICES; PROVIDING FOR <br />CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />WHEREAS, the City advertised for a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for consulting services for general <br />water and sewer utility projects on November 1, 2009 and November 8, 2009, to provide professional services to <br />assist with designing water and sewer utilities projects and providing related technical services and support for <br />utility planning, operations, permitting, and capital improvements; and <br />WHEREAS, twenty (20) engineering firms submitted a qualification package, of which five (5) firms were <br />short-listed for formal presentations to the Professional Services Selection Committee on February 3, 2010; and <br />WHEREAS, based on the evaluations of the Selection Committee, Brown and Caldwell was ranked <br />number three; and <br />WHEREAS, Public Works staff have negotiated an agreement with Brown and Caldwell and find it <br />favorable to the City. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves the Standard Consultant <br />Agreement with Brown and Caldwell (attached hereto as "Exhibit A"), and authorizes the Mayor to execute said <br />document on behalf of the City. <br />SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the provisions of this <br />Resolution are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION IH. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution proves to be invalid, <br />unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force, or effect of any other <br />Section or part of this Resolution. <br />SECTION IV.
