Mayors/Managers Group Report -Mayor Glancy <br />Mayor Glancy reported discussions continued at the May 18, 2010 meeting regarding the continuation of the <br />one cent sales tax and related transportation initiatives, and would be further discussed at the June 15t1i <br />meeting. Further reported a discussion regarding Countywide support for a Seminole County Memorial Day <br />Parade hosted by the City of Sanford was on June 15ti' agenda with a suggested $1,000 commitment from each <br />City and a $2,000 suggested commitment from the County. Commissioner Hufford stated she was not <br />supportive of a parade but would be receptive to another type of countywide recognition for veterans. <br />Commissioner Miller stated he would be suppolive of a parade if it was done on a rotational basis so that each <br />City and the County could host the parade. Commissioner Doerner and Vice Mayor Solomon stated they <br />agreed with both points made by Commissioner Hufford and Commissioner Miller, but thought each City <br />could do basic ceremonies without much expense. Mayor Glancy stated she would report back to the City <br />Commission on the outcome of the June 15ti' discussion of the Mayors and Managers Group. <br />D. Council of Local Governments in Seminole County (CALNO) Report - <br />Commissioner Hufford <br />Commissioner Hufford reported the last CALNO meeting was held in Sanford on June 2, 2010 and a <br />presentation on the University of Central Florida's Business Incubation Program was given and the local <br />option gas tax was discussed. <br />E. Seminole Count~Redevelopment Plannin~gency Report -Vice Mayor Solomon <br />No report. <br />1 CITY ANAGE ' S T <br />® Reported on the emergency repair to the Bougainvillea Drive gI•avity sewer pipe authorized by the City <br />Manager on May 17, 2010 in the alnount of $13,656.06. <br />® Proposed a City Commission workshop be scheduled for Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. to <br />discuss some proposals received relating to the city owned properties at Lake Concord and across the <br />street from City Hall. Commission consensus was to schedule the workshop as proposed. <br />® Repar•ed that staff was working on a grant application for 8.5 million dollars in funding for water <br />quality, upsizing lines and fire protection lines. <br />® Reported the Code Enforcement Division would be moved from the Police Department to the <br />Community Development Department on June 21, 2010. <br />® Distributed a draft publication on the Green Up Casselberry program to the City Commission. <br />
