Prepared by: <br />Community Development Department <br />95 Triplet Lake Drive <br />Casselberry, FL 32707-3399 <br />ORDINANCE N0.10-1314 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AMENDING PART III, ARTICLE X, <br />SECTION 3-10.9 OF THE CASSELBERRY CODE OF ORDINANCES <br />ENTITLED "PARKING OF VEHICLES IN RESIDENTIAL DISTRICTS" <br />BY REPEALING SECTION 3-10.9 IN ITS ENTIRETY AND <br />ESTABLISHING SECTION 3-10.9 TO INCLUDE SECTION A, <br />"PROHIBITED VEHICLES", SECTION B, "PERMITTED VEHICLES", <br />SECTION C, "RECREATIONAL EQUIPMENT", SECTION D, <br />"GENERAL REQUIREMENTS APPLIED TO PROHIBITED VEHICLES, <br />PERMITTED VEHICLES AND RECREATIONAL EQUIPMENT", <br />SECTION E, "PREPARED PARKING AREA", AND SECTION F, <br />UNLICENSED AND/OR INOPERBLE VEHICLES"; PROVIDING FOR <br />CODIFICATION, CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission is aware that there is a growing problem within the City of <br />Casselberry whereby persons are parking vehicles in residential areas within front yards in a manner that <br />detracts from the appearance and quality of the neighborhood; and <br />WHEREAS, parking many and various types of vehicles within the front, side, and rear yards <br />and/or in a disorganized manner detracts from the residential character of the City's neighborhoods and in <br />some cases endangers the well-being of pedestrians who desire to use the sidewalk; and <br />WHEREAS, the City recognizes that personal vehicles, business related vehicles and recreational <br />equipment, when parked in a residential district, should be parked to protect the appearance of, and protect <br />the value of, the residential districts; and <br />
