SECTION V. That Section 34.017, Vacancies, of the Code of Ordinances of <br />the City of Casselberry, Florida, is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />§ 34.017 VACANCIES. <br />(a) When a vacancy occurs in the Civil Service Board, <br />either by the resignation, death, or removal of a member, <br />the City Manager shall, within thirty (30) days, subject <br />to the approval of the City Commission, appoint a new <br />member qualifying under § 34.010; that new member to fill <br />the unexpired term. If the vacancy is not filled within <br />the term specified, the vacancy shall be filled within <br />fifteen (15) days by the City Commission. <br />(b) The Board shall be kept advised as to progress <br />regarding the filling of vacancies. <br />SECTION VI. That Section 34.176, Execution of Agreements, of the Code <br />of Ordinances of the City of Casselberry, Florida, is hereby amended to read <br />as follows: <br />34.176 EXECUTION OF DOCUMENTS. <br />The City Manager is authorized and directed to execute <br />all necessary agreements and amendments with the <br />Administrator of the Florida Retirement System for the <br />purpose of extending the benefits provided by the Florida <br />Retirement System to the employees and officials of the <br />City as provided in § 34.175. The agreement shall <br />provide for the methods of administration of the plan by <br />the City as are found by the Administrator of the Florida <br />Retirement System to be necessary and proper and shall be <br />effective with respect to the services in employment <br />covered by the agreement performed on and after November <br />1, 1971. <br />SECTION VII. That all references to "City Council" in Chapter 34 of the <br />Code of Ordinances of the City of Casselberry, Florida, are hereby changed to <br />read "City Commission". <br />SECTION VIII. CODIFICATION. It is the intention of the City Commission <br />of the City of Casselberry, Florida, and it is hereby ordained that the <br />
