Member at the time of pre-retirement death or retirement. <br />BECTION 2. MEMBERSHIP. <br />1. Conditions and Eligibility. <br />All full-time General Employees who are employed <br />by the City on or after January 1, 1996 shall participate in the <br />Plan as a condition of employment provided, however, elected City <br />officials and the City Manager, solely, may irrevocably waive <br />their participation in the Plan and elect to participate in an <br />alternate City sponsored retirement program. <br />2. Beneficiary Designation. <br />Each eligible General Employee shall complete a <br />Beneficiary Designation form for purposes of naming beneficiaries <br />to receive any death benefits provided hereunder. <br />A Member may from time to time change his or her <br />designated Beneficiary by written notice to the Board upon forms <br />provided by the Board. Upon such change the rights of all previ- <br />ously designated Beneficiaries to receive any benefits under the <br />Plan shall cease. <br />SECTION 3. BENEFIT AMOIINT3 AND ELIGIBILITY. <br />1. Retirement Dates <br />A. Normal Retirement - a Member's Normal Retire- <br />went Date shall be the first day of the month coincident with or <br />next following the earlier of: <br />(a) the attainment of age sixty-two (62), or <br />(b) the completion of thirty (30) years of <br />Credited Service, regardless of age. <br />Members who continue in employment beyond <br />4 <br />
