INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT <br />BETWEEN <br />THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY <br />AND <br />THE CITY OF WINTER PARK <br />FOR FIRE AND RESCUE VEHICLE <br />INSPECTION, PREVENATIVE MAINTENANCE, MAINTENANCE, AND REPAIRS <br />The AGREEMENT is made and entered into this 1St day of May, 2010 by and between the City <br />of Casselberry (hereinafter referred to as the "City"), a municipal corporation of the State of <br />Florida, and the City of Winter Parlc, a municipal corporation of the State of Florida (hereinafter <br />referred to as the "Supplier"). <br />WITNESSETH <br />WHEREAS, Section 163.01, Florida Statutes, known as the "Florida Interlocal Cooperation Act <br />of 1969" authorizes local governments to make the most efficient use of their powers by <br />enabling them to cooperate with other localities on a basis of mutual advantage and thereby to <br />provide services and facilities that will harmonize geographic, economic, population, and other <br />factors influencing the needs and development of local communities; and <br />WHEREAS; City and Supplier desire to enter into an Interlocal Agreement for providing <br />Inspection, Preventative Maintenance, Maintenance, and Repair Services to the City's Fire, and <br />Rescue vehicles. <br />WHEREAS; it is the intent of the Cities to utilize the powers and authority of the Florida <br />Interlocal Cooperation Act of 1969 by the execution of this Interlocal Agreement. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the recitals, agreements and mutual covenants <br />contained herein, and other good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which <br />are hereby acknowledged by the parties, the parties agree as follows: <br />Section I -Term <br />This Agreement shall become effective upon approval by both parties. The Effective Date of <br />this Agreement shall be the date the Agreement is ratified by the City of Casselberry's <br />Commission. This Agreement shall commence on the Effective Date and run for a period of 3 <br />years expiring on Apri130, 2013. This Agreement may be terminated by either party <br />immediately upon written notice to the other party. The effective date of such termination shall <br />be stated in the Notice of Termination. In no event shall the effective date of termination be <br />sooner than three (3) months after the date the Notice of Termination was received by the non- <br />terminating party. <br />
