INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY AND THE CITY OF WINTER PARK FOR FIRE AND RESCUE VEHICLE INSPECTION, PREVENATIVE MAINTENANCE, MAINTENANCE, AND REPAIRS The AGREEMENT is made and entered into this 1St day of May, 2010 by and between the City of Casselberry (hereinafter referred to as the "City"), a municipal corporation of the State of Florida, and the City of Winter Parlc, a municipal corporation of the State of Florida (hereinafter referred to as the "Supplier"). WITNESSETH WHEREAS, Section 163.01, Florida Statutes, known as the "Florida Interlocal Cooperation Act of 1969" authorizes local governments to make the most efficient use of their powers by enabling them to cooperate with other localities on a basis of mutual advantage and thereby to provide services and facilities that will harmonize geographic, economic, population, and other factors influencing the needs and development of local communities; and WHEREAS; City and Supplier desire to enter into an Interlocal Agreement for providing Inspection, Preventative Maintenance, Maintenance, and Repair Services to the City's Fire, and Rescue vehicles. WHEREAS; it is the intent of the Cities to utilize the powers and authority of the Florida Interlocal Cooperation Act of 1969 by the execution of this Interlocal Agreement. NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the recitals, agreements and mutual covenants contained herein, and other good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which are hereby acknowledged by the parties, the parties agree as follows: Section I -Term This Agreement shall become effective upon approval by both parties. The Effective Date of this Agreement shall be the date the Agreement is ratified by the City of Casselberry's Commission. This Agreement shall commence on the Effective Date and run for a period of 3 years expiring on Apri130, 2013. This Agreement may be terminated by either party immediately upon written notice to the other party. The effective date of such termination shall be stated in the Notice of Termination. In no event shall the effective date of termination be sooner than three (3) months after the date the Notice of Termination was received by the non- terminating party.
