RESOLUTION 10-2142 "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF WINTER PARK FOR FIRE AND RESCUE VEHICLE INSPECTION, PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE, MAINTENANCE, AND REPAIRS; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND EFFECTIVE DATE." WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry makes it a priority to ensure that all fire vehicles are properly maintained and any necessary repairs are made in a timely manner; and WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry currently utilizes commercial vendors for all large fire and rescue vehicle inspection, preventative maintenance, maintenance, and repairs; and WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry has found the current commercial vendors were unable to perform maintenance and repairs in a timely and cost-effective manner; and WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry consulted with the City of Winter Park and has determined that Winter Park's current operations and staffing levels allows for the adequate provision of all of Casselbeny's large fire and rescue vehicle inspections, preventative maintenance, maintenance, and repairs; and WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry seeks to enter into an interlocal agreement with the City of Winter Park for a term of three years for all large fire and rescue vehicle inspections, preventative maintenance, maintenance, and repairs at a labor rate of $65.00 per hour plus parts. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves the interlocal agreement between the City of Casselberry and the City of Winter Park for fire and rescue vehicle inspection, preventative maintenance, maintenance, and repairs, and authorizes the Mayor to execute said document on behalf of the City SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. SECTION III. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution proves to be invalid, unlawfiil, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force, or effect of any other Section or part of this Resolution.
