Commissioner <br />Doerner stated she was not supportive of the requirement for the screening from the <br />front due to enforcement issues. Mayor Glancy stated she felt that the City was <br />lenient with its parking regulations for residential neighborhoods and the City <br />Commission is making the best decision for the community as a whole. Mr. Tull <br />raised his hand to be recognized. Mayor Glancy did not recognize Mr. Tull and <br />stated the public hearing was closed. MI•. Tull stated he objected to the tone of the <br />Mayor's comments. Points of Order were made by Commissioner Doerner and <br />Commissioner Hufford recommending that everyone respect individual perspectives <br />and opinions. Further discussion ensued regarding front screening. Commission <br />consensus was to not change the requirement for afence/gate/wall or hedge for side <br />yard parking to screen visibility fiom the right-of--way. Fut•ther discussion ensued <br />regarding the number of recreational equipment to be parked at a residence. <br />Commission consensus was to limit motor homes to one (1) per site, with no limit to <br />other recreational equipment as defined in the ordinance. Discussion ensued <br />regarding utility trailers. Commission consensus was to consider utility trailers less <br />than 25 feet in length, whether for personal or business use, as a business related <br />vehicle and are to be parked in a screened side yard or back yard. <br />AMENDED MOTION: Commissioner Hufford moved to approve Ordinance 10-1314, as <br />amended; amending Section B(1) by striking the words "and that" <br />prior to the word "may" and insel•ting the woI•d "and" before the word <br />"shall"; amending Section B(2)(a)(3) by striking the words "used for <br />business purposes" prior to the word "that"; amending Section C, <br />Recreational Equipment by striking "personal use utility trailers" prior <br />to the word "all-terrain"; and amending Section C(2) by adding <br />subsection (e)"Only one recreational vehicle/motor home is permitted at <br />a single family residence." Motion was seconded by Vice Mayor <br />Solomon. Motion carried 3 -1(Commissioner Doerner dissenting) by <br />voice vote. <br /> <br />A.
