Ms. Parcell also submitted information regarding their website and <br />a listing of the Board of girectors (a copy is attached and made a part of the minutes). Ms, Parcel[ expressed a <br />concern with safety due to the falling limbs on the property, <br />Ms. Parcell said after two years the house is in perfec# condition and 85% of the women have been moved <br />into independent living with jabs, She said Heart to Heart and The Center for grog Free Living collaborated to <br />provide additional services to help women and children. <br />Mr. Richard paves, Vice President of Operation for The Center for Drug Free Living, 90 Hitching Post, <br />Gasselberry, Florida came forward. Mr. Doves felt that the photographs did not accurately reflect the trees on the <br />site. Mr. paves feat that adding additional trees on fhe site would cause the property to be very dense, Mr, Doves <br />said the Center is looking for relief from the 2005 landscape requirements on the site plan. He said The Center for <br />Drug Free Living would rather put the funds into service for the residents. <br />A genera! discussion ensued regarding fhe salaries for the top management for The Center for Drug Free <br />Living that were included in the meeting packet, addition of shrubs on the site, determination of landscaping <br />requirements and credit for the existing large oak tree, <br />In response to Commissioner Lutz's question regarding fhe compelling reason to request the landscape <br />waiver, Mr. paves said that money could be used to provide more services at the facility. <br />Mr. Parkhurst asked if there was anyone in the audience who wished to speak in favor of, or in apposition <br />to, the request. Mayor Charlene Glancy, 290 NE Triplet Drive, Casselberry, Florida came forward, Mayor Glancy <br />stated that the current facility inherited the problems left from Lisa Merlin. She said Heart to Heart stepped in to save <br />the facility from closing and took on the problems left by Lisa Mersin. Mayor Glancy stated that there are several <br />trees on the site and felt that additional trees would not fit on the site, Mayor Glancy requested the Planning and <br />
