<br />ORDINANCE NO. 09-1298 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA; <br />AMENDING CHAPTER 42, SECTION 42-96, OF THE CODE OF <br />ORDINANCES TO DELETE REFERENCE TO A SPECIAL <br />REVENUE FUND AS OBSOLETE; AMENDING SECTION 42-97 <br />TO PROVIDE ALL FEES BE SET BY RESOLUTION; PROVIDING <br />FOR CODIFICATION, SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS AND <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in Ordinance No. 446, adopted on December 7, 1982, the <br /> <br />City of Casselberry established a Paramedic Advanced Life Support Program <br /> <br />within the Fire Department of the City, and provided funding for same; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 446 was amended by Ordinance No. 739 on <br /> <br />July 20, 1992, both of which have been codified in Section 42-96 of the <br /> <br />Casselberry City Code of Ordinances; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City finds and determines that certain portions of Section <br /> <br />42-96 must be amended to clarify that the funding for the Paramedic Advanced <br /> <br />Life Support Program comes from the City's general fund, and that certain <br /> <br />portions of that section are no longer necessary; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Amendment does not alter the purpose or intent of the <br /> <br />ordinance establishing the Paramedic Advanced Life Support Program, but <br /> <br />serves only to bring the code into compliance with current accounting practices; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, even under the prior code, the City's auditors have never <br /> <br />objected to the use of the general fund for the funding of the Paramedic <br /> <br />Advanced Life Support Program; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission also desires to clarify that all fees <br />
