Mr. Butch Spence passed around some information to the Board about disc golf. He said he
recently met the former world champion who told him all about it. Disc golf is played in parks
around the country and can generate extra revenue. This is a sport tor all ages and can be a good
family activity.

My. Spence said the former world champion volunteered to come by one of the PRAB meetings
to explain how disc golf works and how it can be used in parks. Everyone agreed that this
would be interesting. Mr. Spence made a motion to invite this guest speaker to a future meeting.
Ms. June Herron seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously 4-0.

Ms. Phyllis Sheppard asked if anyone had seen the program about National Parks on channel 24.
She said it was very interesting. Mr. Spence mentioned that he watched the part on Yellowstone.
My. Cruz said he caught a little bit of it. My. Mason said he watched about five hours of the
senes.

Ms. June Herron asked if there was any update on Section I of the bike trail. My. Cruz said that
he recently met with FDOT and Seminole County about the section of the trail from Wilshire
that crosses over SR 436. The store owners in the area would all like to have the trail go in front
rather than in back of the stores. Seminole County and FDOT liked the plan. The City has to
complete a ditch and soil analysis. If it works out, Seminole County will probably fund this
section of the trail and build it as part of the fly-over project.

My. Michael Mason said he would like to try to get lights in the small field at Wirz Park. He
asked who at Progress Energy he'd need to talk to about this. Mr. Cruz said he could talk to
Tricia Johnson, Community Affairs Manager, but suggested he waituntil the bike trail issues
were cleared up with them.

Adiournment:
Butch Spence made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Meeting adjourned at 8:09 pm.

DATE M~TE~~PROVED' JJ-tt- JJ "'b t'looq
~Wl v~cwt&l[

Alicia Kardell
Recording Secretary

Next meeting: November 10, 2009

3
