<br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY <br /> <br />BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT <br /> <br />The City of Casselberry Board of Adjustment held a public hearing on Thursday, April 23, 2009, at 6:30 P.M., in <br /> <br />the Casselberry City Hall Commission Chambers, 95 Triplet Lake Drive, Casselberry, Florida. <br /> <br />Members present were: <br />Mary Anne Gauvin <br />Earl McMullen <br />Arlin Armour <br />Luis Guzman <br /> <br />Members absent were: <br />Ed Bowman <br /> <br />Staff members present: <br />Sandra Smith, Chief Planner <br />Charles Senzee, Planner <br />Joni Dixon, Sr. Staff Assistant <br /> <br />First Item of Business: Swearing In of new member - Andrew Lopez: <br /> <br />Ms. Gauvin administered the Oath of Office to Mr. Andrew Lopez and welcomed him to the Board of Adjustment. <br /> <br />Second Item of Business: Approval of minutes from the public meeting held on Thursday, July 24, 2008. <br /> <br />Ms. Gauvin stated the Chair would entertain a motion on the approval of the minutes for the public hearing held <br /> <br />on Thursday, July 24, 2008. Mr. McMullen moved to accept the July 24, 2008 minutes. Mr. Armour seconded the motion. <br /> <br />The motion passed unanimously by voice vote. <br /> <br />Third Item of Business: Disclosure of Ex Parte communications. <br /> <br />There was no disclosure of Ex Parte communications. <br /> <br />Fourth Item of Business: BA 09.01: 302 Triplet Lake Drive/laura & Michael Hatton. Variance request to Article <br />VII, Section 2.7.9 "Accessory Structures" of the Casselberry Unified land Development Regulations to allowthe <br />placement of an accessory structure beyond an established front fagade of the principal structure. <br />Applicant's Opening Statement <br /> <br />Mr. Charles Senzee, Planner, reviewed the background information and the analysis of the request, provided in <br /> <br />his memorandum to the Board of Adjustment, dated April 16, 2009 (a copy is on file in the Community Development <br /> <br />Department). Mr. Senzee stated the variance application meets three of the six criteria for granting the variance; <br /> <br />therefore, City staff cannot fully support the request.
