<br />Mr. Spence asked if the Rotary was still doing the fIshing program with kids. Mr. Cruz replied <br />that they haven't done this in a couple years. <br /> <br />Anniversary Park was officially renamed Lake Concord Park at last night's Commission <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Mr. Butch Spence asked if the construction was on schedule. Mr. Cruz said the park should be <br />completed by September 15th. <br /> <br />Mr. Bill Hyde asked if events was planning any kind of official opening ceremony. Mr. Cruz <br />was not sure. If construction goes as planned, the next Jazz Concert may be held in the new park <br />on October 24th. <br /> <br />Bike Trail Update <br />Section II is on schedule. The area near the school is the main focus at this time. They are <br />trying to complete this area by Aug. 24th for the first day of school. The name of the company <br />constructing this section of the trail is Roger B. Kennedy Inc. <br /> <br />Section I is still in design. Alternative routes are being discussed. The City is in discussion with <br />Metro Life Church to get around the sub-station. <br /> <br />The construction plans for Section III are completed; approval is needed. <br /> <br />The City has already been reimbursed $22,000 for Section L <br /> <br />Future Park Development <br />Mr. Cruz has spoken with a consultant regarding a deficiency study of City parks. He said this <br />would be helpful in seeing where the City should build in the future. <br /> <br />Mr. Spence added that it is very important to look at the long range goals. <br /> <br />Mana2er's Report: <br />· Country Concert- The country concert will be held this Saturday, August 15th from 6- <br />10pm at Casselberry City Hall Complex. <br />· 5k Run-September 1 ih <br />· Plumosa Oaks Park Vandalism- Last month, there was almost daily vandalism at <br />Plumosa Oaks Park including the tipping over of trash cans and sign damage. Four <br />teenagers were caught. The City will be reimbursed for the damages. <br /> <br />Board Member Comments: <br />June Herron brought 2 photos of homes to nominate for the Beautification Recognition program. <br />The photos were passed around and all agreed to award the homes located at 330 Southcot Dr. <br />and 913 Saza Run recognition letters. <br /> <br />Mr. Spence thinks it would be very beneficial for the PRAB to work on long tenn planning. <br /> <br />Ms. Herron asked if there was anything new at the Seminola property. Mr. Cruz replied that the <br />City was in the process of reviewing the inter local agreement with Seminole County. <br /> <br />2 <br />
