<br />Community Redevelopment Agency <br />May 8. 2009 <br />Page 7 of 8 <br /> <br />joint membership. Mr. McGregor said to approve payment subject to staffs approval. There was no <br /> <br />therefore, the rnotion failed. <br /> <br />Mr. McGregor made a motion to approve the Progress Energy invoice no. <br /> <br />2805808 dated March 10, <br /> <br />2009 in the amount of $12,661.81. Mr. Daigle seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously voice vote. <br /> <br />Twelfth Item of Business: Sheldon Rubin Letter of Intent <br /> <br />Mr. Paradise reviewed the Letter of Intent from Mr. Sheldon Rubin dated May 1, 2009 (a <br /> <br />is on in <br /> <br />the Community Development Department). A general discussion <br /> <br />regarding the development/sale of the two <br /> <br />CRA owned parcels and the Rubin parcel. Mr. Paradise stated that Mr. Rubin has agreed to market the CRA <br /> <br />along with his parcel at the International Council of Shopping Center (ICSC) conference. Mr. McGregor requested <br /> <br />staff gather all the due diligence information on the parcels and determine <br /> <br />items are missing and <br /> <br />it back to <br /> <br />the CRA Board at the next meeting. Mr. McGregor also suggested that staff consult an engineer to three <br /> <br />parcels and do a site analysis on the retention and how to solve any retention issues for a 5,000 square footprint. <br /> <br />Mr. Jones made a motion to reject the proposal and inform Mr. Rubin that the City would supply as <br /> <br />information as possible to cooperate with him in the marketing of the property to a third party with a definite proposal. <br /> <br />tv1r. McGregor seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously by vote. <br /> <br />Thirteenth Item of Business: Other Business <br /> <br />In response to the Board's question, Ms. Lipscomb stated that Wal-Mart has indicated that the project has <br /> <br />been postponed and are looking at a November date. A general discussion ensued regarding the Wal-Mart <br /> <br />and the old Eckerd site project. <br /> <br />Fourteenth Item of Business: Directors Report <br /> <br />Mr. Paradise reviewed the Director's Report (a copy is on file in the Community Development Department). <br /> <br />A general discussion ensued regarding marketing the Casselberry Center Project at the International Council of <br /> <br />Shopping Center (ICSC) conference. <br />
