<br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY <br /> <br />COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY <br /> <br />The City of Casselberry Community Redevelopment Agency held a workshop meeting on Friday, <br /> <br />March 13, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. in the Multi-Purpose Room in the Casselberry Police Station, 4195 South US <br /> <br />Highway 17-92, Casselberry, Florida. <br /> <br />Members present: <br /> <br />Paul Daigle, Chairman <br />John Jones, Vice-Chairman <br />Cynthia Campbell <br />Eric Etze <br />David Fairbank <br /> <br />Members absent: <br />David McGregor <br />Alan Trueba <br /> <br />Staff members present: <br />Gerald Paradise, Community Development Director <br />Rebecca Bowman, Sr. Accountant <br />Kelly Brock, City Engineer <br />Joni Dixon, Secretary <br /> <br />Mr. Paradise explained that the Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval to the <br /> <br />City Commission for the new mid-rise and the high-rise zoning districts at their March 11, 2009 meeting. Mr. <br /> <br />Paradise reviewed the specific development and design criteria for the new zoning districts. A general <br /> <br />discussion ensued regarding the increase in intensities and densities and the "How Shall We Grow" <br /> <br />initiative. Mr. Paradise stated in the future staff will request the CRA to fund the master plan for the change <br /> <br />in the corridor and updating the redevelopment plan. He said at the last Redevelopment Planning Agency <br /> <br />(RPA) meeting the RPA Board recommended to the County CRA Board (County Commission) the approval <br /> <br />of a contract to revise their master development plan for the 17-92 CRA in an excess of $400,000. He said <br /> <br />this will assist the County with the preparation of the overall redevelopment of the area and it will provide the <br /> <br />background and justification for the extension of the County CRA beyond the 2017 sunset date. Mr. <br /> <br />Paradise said that the City needs to prepare for the future development of the CRA and to extend the term <br />
