<br />Community Redevelopment Agency <br />January 9, 2009 <br />Page 7 at 7 <br /> <br />Mr. Paradise distributed and reviewed the Director's Report (a copy is attached and made a part of the minutes). Mr. <br /> <br />John Metsopoulos, Seminole County US 17-92 CRA Program Manager, <br /> <br />a brief <br /> <br />of the <br /> <br />Park Study <br /> <br />conducted by East Central Florida Regional Planning. <br /> <br />A general discussion ensued regarding the status of the Black's Automotive site. <br /> <br />Mr. Fortini reviewed the draft mosaic work for the Anniversary Park fountain (a copy is attached and made a part of <br /> <br />the minutes). The Board gave their consensus to move forward with the presented design. <br /> <br />Tenth Item of Business: Public Comments <br /> <br />Mr. John Casselberry, 700 South Lost Lake Lane, Casselberry, Florida came forward. Mr. Casselberry expressed a <br /> <br />concern that demolition of buildings in the City reduces the value of the property. Mr. Casselberry suggested fencing the <br /> <br />perimeter of vacant buildings to eliminate vandalism and security concerns. Mr. Casselberry felt it would benefit Home Depot <br /> <br />if a connection was made from their site to Sunset Road. Mr. Casselberry felt the vacant stores in the Publix Shopping Center <br /> <br />are due to poor internal traffic circulation and he felt that access from Sunset Road would increase the <br /> <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was <br /> <br /> <br />Paul Daigle, Chairman <br /> <br />Tapes of the meeting are available as a matter of public record. <br /> <br />
