Potable Storage Facilities

A summary of the City's potable water system ground and elevated storage is given in Table
3. The current total water storage capacity is approximately 3.85 million gallons.

There are three elevated storage tanks. The South Water Tower is located at the South WIP
and has a capacity of 250,000 gallons. Melody Lane Water Tower is located adjacent to State
Road 17-92 and has a capacity of 250,000 gallons. Hunterfield Water Tower is located in the
southwestern portion of the City's water service area and has a capacity of 100,000 gallons.

As previously discussed in the Pennitted Capacity section of this report, due to low pressure
conditions seen in the Hunterfie1d area during periods of peak demand, the CUP was
amended in 2004 to accommodate the addition of wells and a treatment plant in the
Hunterfield location. However, due to complaints by nearby residents, the facility was
converted to a storage and repump station. The storage and repump station was pennitted
through the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (pennit No. WC59-0080852-
083 dated September 14, 2005) and was brought online in May, 2007.
