During hours of peak demand, the <br />southwest section of the Gty's coverage area experienced low pressure conditions in their <br />distribution system. In 2003, the Gty took ownership of an existing water treatment plant <br />and wells in the Hunterfield area and planned to reactivate the facility to compensate for the <br />low pressure problems. A modification to the CUP was received on July 1, 2004 that <br />authorized the reactivation of two existing wells in the Hunterfield location. However, <br />complaints from adjacent residents led the Gty to convert the facility to a storage and <br />repump station. <br /> <br />The modification to the existing CUP did not change the permit expiration date of August 8, <br />2020 nor did it modify the maximum allocated amount of water which remains at 2,563.0 <br />million gallons per year. <br /> <br />B. Potable Water Service Area <br /> <br />The potable water service area, which is depicted on Map 1 (see Appendix A), encompasses <br />approximately 7.6 square miles and includes areas in both Orange and Seminole Counties, <br /> <br />i:am/1Jw3n ?nnOf/afions, ?nc. <br /> <br />Page 2 <br />
