4) Re-wording, re-phrasing, or eliminating the parenthetical phase except
when taking off or landing-{Boating, Blueway Trail System, and No
Wake Zones, paragraph 2, p.6)

(n7e language in this text is misleading for lakefront owners. The Board
discussed a recent incident that challenged this rule)

5) Induding information regarding Personal Floatation Devices-possibly
providing website links to boating safety equipment requirements

Mr. Torres advised the Board that the lake Management Guide will be
mailed to both major and minor lakefront owners and posted on the City's
website with active hyperlinks. Dr. Brock mentioned that the City will
incorporate a direct web link to make finding lake Management information
on the web simple for users such as www.casselberrv.orqllakes --Note--this
is not an active web address as of yet

Mrs. Anne Miller made a motion to accept the: Lake Management Guide
with changes. The motion was seconded and carried by voice vote.

Also discussed was workshop planning for lakefront owners and lake users. (n7is
section was diverted until Dr. Brock retumed from giving a presentation at Oty Hall)
Dr. Brock gave a re-cap regarding the suggestions made for workshops at the
January LMAB meeting which induded topics and location. The idea is to have the
workshops in community venues such as dub houses, homeowner associations, the
Senior Center, etc. However, some workshops may be combined (for lakes within
dose proximity) in an effort to reduce the number of workshops given. Mr. Rose
suggested that when combining workshops, Oty staff should ensure there is
enough time to address specific issues on each lake.

There is no specific budget to fund the workshops and some Board members
offered to volunteer their time and expertise. Dr. Brock mentioned that he plans to
have multi-agency partidpation and representation as well. Public Works staff will
distribute door hangers noting the date, time, and purpose of the workshops in
order to inform the public and maximize neighborhood partidpation. Mr. Torres
advised the Board that he plans to have the workshop plan components, topics, and
a schedule drafted before the next LMAB meeting. Dr. Brock will provide a
preliminary presentation. The Board agreed that lake Griffin would be a great
place to start as Ms. Leslie Yates (lMAB member) has already successfully held a
workshop for the community to address specific concems with regard to the lake.

Mr. Matthew Martin made a motion to proceed with workshop planning
beginning with Lake Griffin. The motion was seconded and carried by
voice vote.

6. New Business

Sausalito Shores Baffle Box Projects Update: Mr. Torres informed the Board
that the baffle boxes for Sausalito were identified in the recently adopted
Stormwater, lake Management and Water Quality Master Plan. Mr. Torres
mentioned that the City's consultant, HDR, Inc., will submit a proposal for the

3
