The Board <br />discussed a recent incident that challenged this rule) <br /> <br />5) Induding information regarding Personal Floatation Devices-possibly <br />providing website links to boating safety equipment requirements <br /> <br />Mr. Torres advised the Board that the lake Management Guide will be <br />mailed to both major and minor lakefront owners and posted on the City's <br />website with active hyperlinks. Dr. Brock mentioned that the City will <br />incorporate a direct web link to make finding lake Management information <br />on the web simple for users such as www.casselberrv.orqllakes --Note--this <br />is not an active web address as of yet <br /> <br />Mrs. Anne Miller made a motion to accept the: Lake Management Guide <br />with changes. The motion was seconded and carried by voice vote. <br /> <br />Also discussed was workshop planning for lakefront owners and lake users. (n7is <br />section was diverted until Dr. Brock retumed from giving a presentation at Oty Hall) <br />Dr. Brock gave a re-cap regarding the suggestions made for workshops at the <br />January LMAB meeting which induded topics and location. The idea is to have the <br />workshops in community venues such as dub houses, homeowner associations, the <br />Senior Center, etc. However, some workshops may be combined (for lakes within <br />dose proximity) in an effort to reduce the number of workshops given. Mr. Rose <br />suggested that when combining workshops, Oty staff should ensure there is <br />enough time to address specific issues on each lake. <br /> <br />There is no specific budget to fund the workshops and some Board members <br />offered to volunteer their time and expertise. Dr. Brock mentioned that he plans to <br />have multi-agency partidpation and representation as well. Public Works staff will <br />distribute door hangers noting the date, time, and purpose of the workshops in <br />order to inform the public and maximize neighborhood partidpation. Mr. Torres <br />advised the Board that he plans to have the workshop plan components, topics, and <br />a schedule drafted before the next LMAB meeting. Dr. Brock will provide a <br />preliminary presentation. The Board agreed that lake Griffin would be a great <br />place to start as Ms. Leslie Yates (lMAB member) has already successfully held a <br />workshop for the community to address specific concems with regard to the lake. <br /> <br />Mr. Matthew Martin made a motion to proceed with workshop planning <br />beginning with Lake Griffin. The motion was seconded and carried by <br />voice vote. <br /> <br />6. New Business <br /> <br />Sausalito Shores Baffle Box Projects Update: Mr. Torres informed the Board <br />that the baffle boxes for Sausalito were identified in the recently adopted <br />Stormwater, lake Management and Water Quality Master Plan.
