<br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY <br /> <br />PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION/ <br />LOCAL PLANNING AGENCY <br /> <br />The City of Casselberry Planning and Zoning Commission/local Planning Agency held a public meeting on <br /> <br />Wednesday, January 28, 2009, at 6:30 P.M. in the Casselberry City Hall, Commission Chambers, 95 Triplet <br /> <br />Drive, Casselberry, Florida. <br /> <br />Members present: <br />David Henson, Vice Chairman <br />Harley Parkhurst <br />Stanley Weinroth <br />Nathan Van Meter, Jr. <br />Edmund Bakalla <br />Anthony Aramendia <br />Daniel Hale, Alternate <br /> <br />Staff members present: <br />Charles Senzee, Planner <br />Joni Dixon, Sr. Staff Assistant <br /> <br />First Item of Business: Approval of Minutes for the public meeting held on January 14, 2009. <br /> <br />Mr. Henson stated the Chair was open for a motion on the approval of minutes for the public meeting <br /> <br />on Wednesday, January 14, 2009. Mr. Parkhurst moved to accept the January 14, 2009 minutes. Mr. Aramendia <br /> <br />seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously by voice vote. <br /> <br />Second Item of Business: CU 09-01: 1786 State Road 436/Auto Specialist of Central Florida. Conditional use <br />request to allow vehicular sales in a CG zoning district. <br /> <br />Mr. Charles Senzee, Planner, reviewed the information provided in his memorandum dated January <br /> <br />2009, to the City of Casselberry Planning and Zoning Commission (a copy is on file in the Community Development <br /> <br />Department). Mr. Senzee explained that the dumpster was not shown on the site plan; therefore the location of the <br /> <br />dumpster needs to be addressed. <br /> <br />Mr. Senzee said staff finds that the proposed use is compatible with the surrounding land uses; however, <br /> <br />staff finds that the property was not designed to support this use. The existing site is unable to support the needs of <br /> <br />the proposed business. He said it is staffs determination that the subject business will have a detrimental impact <br /> <br />upon the neighboring businesses if approved.
