First Reading of Ordinance 09-1261 - Comprehensive Plan Amendments <br /> <br />The City Clerk read Ordinance 09-1261 by title as follows: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE <br />COMPREHENSIVE PLAN BASED ON THE CITY'S ADOPTED EV ALUA TION AND <br />APPRAISAL REPORT WHICH INCLUDES AMENDMENTS TO THE FUTURE LAND <br />USE, TRAFFIC CIRCULATION, HOUSING, INFRASTRUCTURE, CONSERVATION, <br />RECREATION AND OPEN SPACE, INTERGOVERNMENTAL COORDINATION, <br />CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS, AND PUBLIC SCHOOLS FACILITIES ELEMENT OF <br />THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AS AMENDED; TO REVISE AND UPDATE THE <br />EXISTING GOALS, OBJECTIVES, POLICIES, AND DATA AND ANALYSIS IN <br />ACCORDANCE WITH MANDATES SET FORTH IN CHAPTER 163, FLORIDA <br />STATUTES, PROVIDING FOR TRANSMITTAL TO THE ST ATE LAND PLANNING <br />AGENCY; PROVIDING FORA CONFLICTS CLAUSE AND SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, <br />PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE." <br /> <br />Notice of Public Hearing: The Notice of Public Hearing relative to Ordinance 09-1261 was published in <br />the Orlando Sentinel on November 27, 2008. <br /> <br />Staff Presentation: Ms. Sandra Smith, Chief Planner, stated the City conducted its Evaluation and Appraisal <br />Report (EAR) in 2007, identifying amendments to the adopted Comprehensive Plan required by FS Chapter <br />163. Ordinance 09-1261 provides those amendments. LaRue Planning and Management Services, the City's <br />consultant, incorporated the amendments into the Comprehensive Plan. Ms. Smith stated staff has provided <br />some additional edits to the data and analysis to Mr. LaRue and requested that Ordinance 09-1261 be <br />continued to January 12, 2009 so the additional edits could be incorporated. <br /> <br />Budget Impact: This item does not affect the City's budget. <br /> <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Community Development Director recommended Ordinance <br />09-1261 be continued on first reading to a date certain of January 12, 2009. <br /> <br />Public Hearing: No one came forward to address Ordinance 09-1261. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Commissiouer Doerner moved to continue Ordinance <br />09-1261 on first reading to a date certain of January <br />12, 2009. Motion was seconded by Commissioner <br />MlIIer. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 5 _ <br />O. <br />
