Strategic Plan <br />2009 - 2012 <br />ritical Issues <br />C <br />Several key issues provided the focus and direction to the Strategic Plan. Specific goals and <br />supporting strategies were then developed to turn these issues into achievable goals. The <br />following list summarizes the key issue areas brought forth through the planning process. <br />The goals that emerged during the strategic planning process reflect specific outcomes for the <br />future of Casselberry parks, recreation facilities, and recreation programs and services. <br />Recreation Programs and Services <br />Improved coordination for usage of parks <br />Increased development of programs <br />Establish arts and culture committee <br />Funding Sources <br />Expand sponsorship opportunities <br />Diversify funding sources <br />Property and Facilities <br />Increased development of properties, expansion and maintenance <br />Ensure safety of parks and compliance with regulations (police <br />department) <br />Partnerships/Communication/Awareness <br />Community awareness <br />Increased cooperation and coordination with all stakeholders <br />Staff identified to serve as a coordinator for networking among constituencies <br />Increase communication with citizens <br />Foster positive relationship with City Commission (liaisons) <br />Staff <br />Joint meetings of advisory boards <br />Informal sessions with stakeholders <br />Page <br />9 <br /> <br />
