CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION Minutes of August 25, 2008 - Regular Meeting Page 4 of Hi EXECUTION OF THE FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT AGREEMENT WITH SEMINOLE COUNTY FOR THE ANCHOR ROAD IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." Introduction: Resolution 08-1893 provides for the First Amendmentto the Community Development Block Grant Agreement between the City and Seminole County for funding assistance for the proposed improvements to a portion of Anchor Road. Due to the design and permitting schedule for the project, the spending milestones included in the original agreement require modification. A budget amendment is needed to recognize the revenue and establish authorization for payment of the improvements funded by the grant. Budget Impact: The First Amendment proposes no new budget impacts to the City. As part of the original CDBG Agreement, the City is required to providing matching/leveraged funding in the amount of$524, 144. The City has already accounted for these funds in its FY 2008 and planned FY 2009 budgets. However, if the First Amendment is not approved, it would likely result in the loss of the $400,000 in CDBG funding to the City, and the City would be required to reimburse the County for the portion ofCDBG funds expended thus far. Resolution 08-1909 - Contractual Agreement with Eden Site Development for the Wet Weather Storage Pond Slope Liner Replacement Proiect "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF THE AGREEMENT WITH EDEN SITE DEVELOPMENT, FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE WET WEATHER STORAGE POND SLOPE LINER REPLACEMENT PROJECT; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." Introduction: Resolution 08-1909 provides for an agreement to replace the Water Reclamation Facility's wet weather storage pond slope liner to the lowest responsive bid from Eden Site Development in the amount of$119,500.
