Mayor Goff closed the public hearing relative to Ordinance 08-1247. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />DISCUSSION: <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Hufford moved to approve Ordinance 08- <br />1247 on second reading as presented. Motion was <br />seconded by Commissioner Miller. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued regarding the residential area setback criteria, and placement of <br />such businesses within the CRA. Vice Mayor Hufford stated she felt Ordinance 08- <br />1247 was a good ordinance but felt it should have not permitted the use entirely <br />within the Community Redevelopment district. Vice Mayor Hufford stated she <br />would be voting against Ordinance 08- I 247 to demonstrate her concerns regarding <br />not permitting the use at all within the Community Redevelopment district. Mr. <br />Paradise noted the use was already prohibited from occurring in a stand alone <br />building within the district, further noting the CRA did discuss and felt it should <br />be a permitted used in multi-tenant buildings. Vice Mayor Hufford requested the <br />Commission consider requesting the Community Redevelopment Agency revisit the <br />matter and recommend to the CRA that the use not be permitted in multi-tenant <br />buildings. <br /> <br />Motion carried 4 - 1 by voice vote (Vice Mayor Hufford dissenting). <br /> <br />Commission consensns was to request the Community Redevelopment Agency <br />revisit the matter and recommend to the Community Redevelopment Agency <br />that the use not be permitted in multi-tenant buildings. Mr. Paradise stated the <br />matter would be placed on the September CRA agenda and a report would <br />subsequently be made to the City Commission regarding their action on the matter. <br /> <br />Note: The correct additional language was contained in the Ordinance distributed with the agenda materials <br />and adopted by the City Commission, however there was a scrivener's error in the attached cover <br />memorandum for the ordinance referencing slightly different proposed language for the subject section. <br /> <br />10. FIRST READING OF ORDINANCES <br /> <br />No items were placed on the agenda for consideration. <br /> <br />11. RESOLUTIONS <br /> <br />A. Resolution 08-1916 - Green Local Government Program <br /> <br />The City Clerk read Resolution 08-1916 by title as follows: <br /> <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY TO PURSUE MEASURES TO <br />BECOME A GREEN LOCAL GOVERNMENT" THROUGH IMPROVED <br />
