Reported Mr. Dale Christensen has indicated that he does not wish to be considered for <br />reappointment as Casselbeny's representative to the Metroplan Orlando Citizens Advisory <br />Committee. Mr. Christensen's term ends in October 2008 and applications are now being accepted <br />to fill the vacancy. <br /> <br />17. CITY COMMISSIONERS' REPORTS/COMMENTS <br /> <br />Commissioner Susan Doerner - Seat No. I: <br />. No report. <br /> <br />Commissioner Jon Miller - Seat No.2: <br />. Commended staff for their efforts to make the Country Concert held August 9th a success. <br /> <br />Commissioner Sandra Solomon - Seat No.3: <br />Stated she attended the Country Concert held August 9th and commended staff for their efforts to <br />make the event a success. <br />. Noted a citizen at the recent CRA meeting, voiced concerns regarding the homeless situation in the <br />City. <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Colleen Hufford - Seat No.4: <br />. Stated she attended the Country Concert held August 9th and commended staff for their efforts to <br />make the event a success. <br />. Commended staff, local businesses and citizens who recently painted the City's art house and noted <br />she would be asking the Casselbeny Chamber of Commerce formally recognize the individuals and <br />businesses for their work on the community project. <br />Reported over 50 people attended the Casselbeny Chamber of Commerce's candidate forum held <br />on July 29t", noting two of the four candidates for Mayor participated in the forum. <br />. Commended the City Clerk for conducting the town hall meetings for the proposed charter <br />amendments and her efforts in making the meetings a success. <br /> <br />Mayor Bob Goff - Seat No.5: <br />. Stated he attended the Country Concert held August 9th and commended staff for their efforts to <br />make the event a success. <br />Stated he attended the recent Seminole County Chamber of Commerce Hob Knob. <br />. Reported he was in receipt of a letter from the South Seminole North Orange County Wastewater <br />Transmission Authority requesting 1.2 million dollars in funding which will be presented to the City <br />Commission at an upcoming meeting. <br />. Reported he was in receipt of a letter from Congressman Mica regarding issues relating to Amtrak. <br />
