<br />WHEREAS, the proposed Comprehensive Plan map amendment includes adding a new <br /> <br />Future Land Use Map designation of "TCEA Overlay District" to certain properties located within <br /> <br />the Community Redevelopment District along US Hwy 17-92 and State Road 436; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the proposed Comprehensive Plan map amendment includes amending the <br /> <br />Future Land Use Map designation of property generally known as "Concord Center" lying east of <br />US Hwy 17-92 and south of Lake Concord from "Commercial" to "Major Thoroughfare Mixed- <br /> <br />Use"; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the proposed Comprehensive Plan map amendment includes amending the <br /> <br />Future Land Use Map designation of property generally known as "City Center" lying east of US <br /> <br />Hwy 17-92 and south of Triplet Lake Drive from "High Intensity Non-Residential I Medium Density <br /> <br />Residential" to "Major Thoroughfare Mixed-Use"; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry City Commission held a public hearing on these <br /> <br />Comprehensive Plan map amendments after due public notice on June 23, 2008, and considered <br /> <br />the advice and findings of the Local Planning Agency, and upon thorough and complete <br /> <br />consideration and deliberation, approved the proposed large scale Future Land Use Map <br /> <br />amendments for transmittal to the Department of Community Affairs; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry transmitted the proposed amendments on June 27, <br /> <br />2008 to the Department of Community Affairs pursuant to Section 163.3184 and Rule 9J-11, <br /> <br />Florida Administrative Code; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry received from the Florida Department of Community <br /> <br />Affairs an "Objections, Recommendations, and Comments Report" on September 5, 2008, <br /> <br />reflecting the Department's review of the proposed amendments; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry City Commission held a second public hearing after <br /> <br />due public notice on October 27, 2008 at which it reviewed the written comments submitted by <br />the Department of Community Affairs in the Objections, Recommendations, and Comments <br />Report; reviewed all other written and oral comments submitted by members of the public, other <br /> <br />Page 2 of7 <br />Future Land Use Map Amendments <br />Ordinance 08-1241 <br />
