Mr. Casselberry felt that the wrong <br /> <br />adult entertainment establishments lower property values and appraisals would reflect this. Mr. Casselberry said the <br />City should ask the citizens by vote regarding the adult entertainment establishment code for the long term. Mr. <br /> <br />Casselberry felt that citizens objected to the appearance of the building because the buildings are painted with loud <br /> <br />colors intentionally to attract attention. <br /> <br />Mr. Kathy Hale, 325 Southcot Drive, Casselberry, Florida came forward. Ms. Hale said approximately six <br /> <br />years ago the citizens of Casselberry voted unanimously that they were tired of adult entertainment. She said the <br /> <br />citizens of Casselberry said no more adult entertainment. Ms. Hale said there should be strict buffer requirements. <br /> <br />Ms. Hale said Mr. Pinter's customers would find him. She said the adult entertainment should be in the smallest area <br /> <br />and in a controlled situation because the citizens don't want it. <br /> <br />Ms. Amy Gibson, 1074 Timerlane Trail, Casselberry, Florida came forward. Ms. Gibson stated she has <br /> <br />printed out a document showing all the sex offenders in the area. Ms. Gibson said she opposes the adun <br /> <br />entertainment in her neighborhood. <br /> <br />A discussion ensued regarding zoning for adult entertainment and sexually oriented businesses and the <br /> <br />possible locations for Mr. Pinter's business. Ms. Reischmann requested the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />consider the possible locations outlined in her letter to the City Manager. Ms. Reischmann clarified that no one is <br /> <br />asking anyone to relocate. Ms. Reischmann said that the series of ordinances are grandfathering in existing sites. <br /> <br />Ms. Reischmann requested the Board consider the designation of the property in the Northeast Industrial Park as <br /> <br />Industrial Medium and not necessarily for adult entertainment. Ms. Reischmann asked the Commission to consider <br /> <br />the options outlined in her letter to the City Manager as a separate item after considering the ordinances. <br /> <br />Mr. Kelley asked for a motion to address LPA 06-11. Mr. Parkhurst recommended approval of LPA 06-11, <br />Ordinance No. 06-1198, amending the Comprehensive Plan Policy Amendment Policy FLU 1.10 - Industrial Medium <br /> <br />designation Large Scale Amendment. Mr. Weinroth seconded the motion. <br />Mr. Henson clarified the motion to forward this item to the City Commission. <br /> <br />The Board was polled. <br />
