<br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY <br /> <br />PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION/ <br />LOCAL PLANNING AGENCY <br /> <br />The City of Casselberry Planning and Zoning Commission/Local Planning Agency held a public hearing on <br /> <br />Wednesday, May 24,2006, at 6:30 P.M. in the Casselberry City Hall, Commission Chambers, 95 Triplet Lake Drive, <br /> <br />Casselberry, Florida. <br /> <br />Members present: <br /> <br />David Burlingame, Vice Chairman <br />David Henson <br />Michael Buchanan <br />Nathan Van Meter, Jr. <br />Edmund Bakalla (alternate) <br /> <br />Members absent: <br /> <br />Paul D. Kelley, Chairman <br />Stanley Weinroth <br /> <br />Staff members present: <br /> <br />Sandra Smith, Chief Planner <br />Joni Dixon, Sr. Staff Assistant <br /> <br />First Item of Business: Approval of Minutes for the Public Hearing held on Wednesday, May 10,2006. <br /> <br />Mr. Burlingame stated the Chair was open for a motion on the approval of minutes for the public hearing <br /> <br />held on Wednesday, May 10, 2006. Mr. Henson moved to accept the May 10, 2006 minutes. Mr. Buchanan <br /> <br />seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously by voice vote. <br /> <br />Second Item of Business: LPA 06-07: Bufferina. Continued. A workshop to review the City of Casselberry's <br />ULDR requirements for buffering between incompatible uses. <br /> <br />Ms. Sandra Smith, Acting Community Development Director, distributed and reviewed a comparison chart of <br /> <br />the buffers required by municipalities in Seminole County utilizing a site plan for a proposed commercial use adjacent <br /> <br />to an existing single-family residential use (a copy is attached and made a part of the minutes). A discussion ensued <br /> <br />regarding requiring a wall to buffer between incompatible uses and required maintenance of landscaping on <br /> <br />commercial sites. <br />
